Dr. Fitzgerald's Practice Philosophy

The main two reasons anyone goes to a dermatologist are really simple - to solve a problem or to look better. Often they are one and the same.

Concerns can range from a bothersome red rash to a more serious medical problem such as skin cancer or psoriasis to the Baby-Boomer's lament, "I look so much older than I feel!" and "I'm tired of everyone asking me if I'm getting enough rest."

Understanding your Choices
There are many ways to address your concerns. So many, in fact, that choices can be overwhelming. What's really important is for you to have an understanding of those choices.

We'll do our best to help guide you through the solutions to whatever your issues might be - medical, cosmetic or all the in-betweens. We provide the latest technology, treatment procedures, skin lasers, wrinkle fixers and medical solutions. Our hand-picked skin care products are carefully chosen to provide the most beneficial effects possible for your skin. You and your skin deserve nothing less than the best.

Picking the "Home Run"
As your doctor, I feel it's my professional responsibility to make sure the treatments I offer you are the best available. I feel it's important to offer what I KNOW will work. There are many treatments openly touted as miracle fixes which actually are still in their infancy stages of development and offer only modest improvement. For this reason you may find I don't offer every single procedure you hear or read about.

Fortunately we have a vast array of proven technologies to choose from.

It's my hope that the many years of training and experience I've had will help you derive precisely the results you are looking for. My staff and I deeply appreciate and value the trust and confidence of our patients and look forward to working with you.

About Dr. Fitzgerald

Dr. Fitzgerald is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the American Society of Dermatological Surgery (ASDS). She is on the clinical faculty at the University of California — Los Angeles (UCLA).

A New Orleans native, Dr. Fitzgerald graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) Medical School. She subsequently completed an Internal Medicine residency at UCLA/Cedars Sinai Medical Center(CSMC) in Los Angeles, California before returning home to New Orleans, where she completed her training in Dermatology.

She returned to California following her post graduate training, and is pleased to continue serving the greater Los Angeles area from her new Larchmont location.

Dr. Fitzgerald is very active academically and is heavily involved in research and training. She is sought after internationally for her physician training abilities and as specialty speaker for professional gatherings around the globe.

Recently invited by NewBeauty Magazine to represent the Dermatology field as a NewBeauty Medical Expert, Dr. Fitzgerald will be called upon to provide opinion and clinical photography in the public education of dermal fillers and lasers.

About Julie Gray, Physician Assistant

Julie Gray is our certified Physician Assistant and Laser Technician.

Julie received her undergraduate biology degree from UCLA and her Master's degree in physician assistant practice from USC. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), and California Association of Physician Assistants (CAPA).

Julie has extensive expertise in laser technology including fractional laser, eMatrix, acne therapy, Accutane, skincare product selection and Photodynamic Therapy. She provides many of the medical dermatology requirements of our patients and is adept at most all the functions of a fully trained dermatologist.

About Angela Sarff, Registered Nurse, CCRN

We were delighted to welcome Angela Sarff, RN, to the RFMD staff in November 2011.

Angela sees patients for consultations and performs IPL Photofacials, Ultherapy, Ematrix, and Laser Hair Reduction procedures.

She received her BA from UCLA in English and Comparative Literature and her nursing degree from Glendale College. Her impressive professional accreditations, in addition to Registered Nurse, include Critical Care Nurse, and member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Prior to joining our staff, Angela worked at Keck Medical Center of USC in Surgical Intensive Care.

Angela enjoys the fast-paced environment of Dr. Fitzgerald’s office and comments, “I love working with lasers because of their powerful results. My favorite part of my job is helping improve patients’ self esteem via their skin.”

About Rachael Chambers, Medical Aesthetician

Our Medical Aesthetician, Rachael, has been with our practice for almost 2 years. She has extensive knowledge in skin care treatments and products, especially when utilized to complement laser services and/or injectibles. Rachael sees new and existing patients for skincare consultations, performs treatments including facials, Silkpeels, chemical peels & oxygen treatments, and develops skin care regimens customized for each individual patient.

Prior to joining our office, Rachael managed two different medical spas in the Los Angeles area. Having an esthetician license for over 11 years, Rachael’s passion rests in creating goal-oriented skin care programs that fit each client’s lifestyle, delivering results and overall satisfaction. Additionally, Rachael enjoys continuing education programs that broaden her knowledge of services and products on the market and has obtained various certifications through these courses and trainings

Dr. Fitzgerald's Practice Policies

- As a new client, you have the opportunity to fill out all forms prior to your initial appointment through our Patient Login, but you will need a security code to do so. To receive a personalized code, please call our office at 323-464-8046. Should you not wish to complete forms prior to your scheduled appointment, you should arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled consultation to complete a client profile.

- When calling, please have a credit card number available, so we may hold your scheduled appointment time. We will not run any charges at this time and you are welcome to pay for your appointment with another card or method of payment.

- While cosmetic consultations are not complimentary, the consultation fee will be waived should you wish to have treatment during your consultation appointment. Please call for consult fee information.

- The office of Rebecca Fitzgerald, MD accepts American Express, Care Credit (based on approval), Discover, MasterCard, Visa, personal checks, and cash. We do not offer payment plans other than Care Credit Financing, which you can apply for through our office at the time of your appointment or on the Care Credit Website at any time.

- 24-hour advance notice is required to reschedule or cancel any appointment. Failure to do so or not show up at an appointment without a phone call will result in a missed appointment/late cancelation fee.

- ALL products, whether opened or unopened, are non-refundable. Unopened products may be exchanged within 14 days of purchase for product credit only. Opened products and prescription items (Latisse, Cosmelan 2, Obagi) are not returnable.

- To purchase prescription grade products on our website store, you must be a current patient of the office.

- If at any time your contact information or insurance coverage changes, please notify our office at your earliest convenience.
