Laser hair removal is a great way to eliminate unwanted hair from your arms, legs, back and elsewhere. Here are a few things to expect from the treatment:
The Procedure: This non-surgical, non-invasive treatment is simple and fast. It is perfectly normal to feel a sensation similar to a slight pinch or akin to the snapping of a rubber band against your skin during laser treatment. Just about every patient will require several laser appointments to get the desired result – typically 3 treatments over 12 months.
The Recovery: Most people have a very easy, painless recovery. You may have some reddening and swelling of the skin, which will look and often feel like a slight sunburn. It should dissipate over the next 24 hours. You may also have occasional blistering of the skin.
The Cost: The cost of laser hair removal varies widely. You will see different pricing in different areas of the country, and based on who is performing the treatment and the technology used. Our experienced staff will be happy to provide you with a full estimate of the cost, so that you can decide if it's right for you.
The Prep: We suggest that you not tan, either in the sun or through tanning salons. Also, some self tanners or salon tans can be problematic, so call and ask us if you need clarification.
