Sunlight is the number one cause of premature skin aging and damage. In addition, your skin will be more sensitive to sunlight immediately following your microneedling procedure. For the first two weeks after your treatment, use sunscreen or sunblock as directed – this could be different from your normal daily application. Avoid sun exposure as much as possible to allow skin to heal properly. Hats when outside will help.

Since your skin will be extremely sensitive, you should refrain from touching your face unless applying skin cream as directed. Oil and dirt from your hands can get onto the treatment area, increasing the risk of infection. If you must touch your face, wash your hands with clean water and soap first.
