CoolTone is FDA-cleared to strengthen, tone, and firm three separate areas. Envision a more toned stomach, tighter thighs, and firm buttocks.

No time for endless crunches or gym visits? What if you could get a “workout” without the workout? Let CoolTone do it for you with effortless 30-minute body sculpting treatment sessions. (Multiple sessions required.)

CoolTone™ in Los Angeles uses externally applied Magnetic Muscle Stimulation (MMS) to selectively deliver strong pulses to muscle tissues. CoolTone’s MMS technology penetrates the muscle layers and induces involuntary muscle contractions, all in a safe and effective treatment.

A Better Workout Buddy?

Abdominal crunches, squats, leg presses – all gym work certainly works over time. But with external stimulation, like CoolTone’s MMS technology in Los Angeles, more muscle fibers can be recruited, generating stronger contractions.

The body’s response to these involuntary contractions is to strengthen the muscle fibers underneath the targeted area of treatment, so the result is stronger, firmer, and more defined muscles.

How is Cooltone Different from CoolSculpting?

While CoolSculpting literally freezes and kills fat cells (which are then naturally flushed out of the body), CoolTone works to tone underlying muscle fibers.

How is CoolTone Different from Similar Devices?

The proposed results are the same, but there is a potential for CoolTone to provide more muscle contraction based on the stronger magnetic intensity with CoolTone.

The Science

The CoolTone applicator in Los Angeles generates a magnetic field that creates a current when it passes through a conductive material. Muscles are good conductors of magnetic fields, unlike skin and fat, which are poor conductors. The induced current is stronger in the muscle layer, and the body responds to these contractions by strengthening its muscle fibers and improving muscle conditioning.

CoolTone’s powerful MMS technology penetrates below the fat layer to strengthen and tone muscle. The state-of-the-art system features liquid-cooled applicators. (And you’ll be eligible to earn Brilliant Distinctions® rewards.)

The Potential Risks of Cooltone

Los Angeles CoolTone is not commonly associated with severe complications. This non-surgical treatment tones muscle fibers and avoids incisions, sutures, and injections. Some of the more typical, temporary side effects include:

  • Muscle pain
  • Muscle spasms
  • Joint and tendon pain
  • Redness

To further mitigate the risk of severe side effects, it’s important to choose a qualified, licensed, trained provider like Dr. Rebecca Fitzgerald. She makes sure you are a good candidate for this treatment in part by ensuring you don’t have any contraindications. CoolTone must be used with caution or not at all if you have Graves’ disease, a bleeding disorder, or a seizure disorder. It shouldn’t be used over the uterus area if you are actively menstruating; we’ll schedule the appointment for another time of the month. Pregnancy, pacemakers, cochlear implants, an active fever, implanted metal devices, and pulmonary insufficiency are other contraindications you’ll need to discuss with Dr. Fitzgerald.

How Many Sessions of CoolTone Can I Receive?

More than one treatment session is required to stimulate and build muscle fiber. To get started, most people have four treatments within two weeks, i.e. sessions twice a week for four weeks, lasting about 30 minutes each time. You should see great results about one to two months after that fourth treatment session.

After this initial series of CoolTone, most people in Los Angeles benefit from a touch-up session once every three to six months.

Dr. Fitzgerald always customizes her treatment recommendations. She will be able to recommend a treatment frequency after meeting with you to discuss your goals and expectations, examining the treatment area, and learning more about your lifestyle and medical history.

How to Prepare for the Procedure

One of the great things about non-invasive treatments in Los Angeles, like CoolTone, is that there really isn’t any prep to worry about! You can think of it as being the same as an intensive workout, so you may want to make sure you haven’t just recently eaten a big meal. Get plenty of rest and hydration the night before. You may want to limit how vigorously you exercise the day or two before simply to limit the amount of soreness you experience since CoolTone does cause muscle soreness.

How Long Does a CoolTone Session Last?

It depends, but most CoolTone sessions in Los Angeles are 30 minutes. We may recommend a shorter duration if a patient is really nervous about treatment, but we strongly encourage at least 30 minutes to keep the results on track.

CoolTone Recovery

There’s no CoolTone recovery or downtime! You can get back to your normal routine and activities as soon as you feel like it. You may want to plan for muscle soreness, just as you may experience after an intense workout session. It’s also possible your joints will feel sore. You may decide to take it easy the rest of the day for those reasons, but it’s also fine to get right back to your day.

How Can I Maintain My CoolTone Results?

You can maintain the strengthened muscle fibers you achieved with Los Angeles CoolTone by exercising and staying fit. You may want to talk to a personal trainer about an individualized plan that focuses on the tone and level of strength you want for the long term. You can pair your exercise routine with a touch-up CoolTone treatment every several months. These measures should help to maintain your results.
