Ultherapy is a completely non-surgical way to lift and tighten the skin on your face, neck, chin, and décolletage. Using the energy of ultrasound, this innovative device reaches deep below the skin to the structural layers. In this way, Ultherapy addresses the same tissues as a surgical facelift.
This rejuvenating treatment stimulates new collagen and restores skin elasticity without downtime. At the cosmetic dermatology practice of Dr. Rebecca Fitzgerald, we are excited to offer our guests this exciting technology. Ultherapy has outstanding patient satisfaction. Over 1 million treatments thus far! To schedule an appointment, please call our team at 323-464-8046.
What Is Ultherapy?
Sagging, inelastic skin is an inevitable result of aging. Ultherapy reverses the drooping with ultrasound energy, emitted from the device as heat. This heat, delivered to the layers of deep skin and muscle, causes the skin to tighten and stimulates the production of collagen. The ultrasound energy treats deep layers of tissue while leaving the surface untouched. This device has been FDA-cleared to lift and tighten the following areas:
- Décolletage (Wrinkle Improvement)
Video Overview of Treatment, Patient Photos and Physician Opinions
The ultrasound technology also allows us to see the area we are treating via a computer monitor, just as a physician would look at an ultrasound to diagnose a tissue abnormality.
During your appointment, the device will be passed back and forth, across the skin. Some patients experience only the most mild pinching sensation while others describe greater discomfort. We will discuss oral pain medication options at your consultation.
Please note, you will not be allowed to drive yourself home after your treatment due to medication side effects. If needed, we can arrange to have a professional driving service pick you up and take you home.
Please see our treatment guidelines for pre- and post-operative recommendations.
Certified Advanced Ultherapist
In addition to our physician providers, Ultherapy Nurse Practioner, Angela Sarff is a graduate of the most advanced training available for Ultherapy. A three-day intensive training program at the Ulthera Clinical headquarters has given Angela clinical specialist techniques that translate to best treatment results and precise pain management for the most comfortable treatment possible. Ultherapy is also provided by our physician staff.
What To Expect From Ultherapy
Ultherapy frees you from the need for general anesthesia, so you will be able to return to your normal activities right away. Some people experience slight redness or subtle puffiness for a day or so.
Some of our guests see a difference in their skin the next morning. But you shouldn't expect to see results for a few weeks with the best results revealing themselves after 2-3 months, once the new collagen has developed in your skin. The results are long-lasting, but you will see a difference after a couple years, or whenever the natural aging process causes skin to look saggy once again. It is possible to restore your results with another Ultherapy session.
At our practice, Dr. Rebecca Fitzgerald has highly specialized experience in the injection of dermal fillers. For total facial rejuvenation, she can create a custom treatment plan that combines Ultherapy with fillers or another procedure. She will help you decide which options will restore your confidence and rejuvenate your youthfulness.
